Connemara Marble
Connemara is located in the county of Galway in the west of the province of Connacht.
Connemara is subdivided into landscapes - the part south of the national road N59 from
Galway to Clifden consists mainly of heath and moor areas, The nothern part of several over 700m
high mountains, the Twelve Bens, near Clifden also the connemara national park.
The famous green - coloured Connemara marble, with whitch the natives used to live earlier, is
now a great treasure.
